Worth acting on?
One honest way to answer this, and it is not by comparing the two prices.
The arithmetic that matters
| Input | Cost | Recoverable? |
|---|---|---|
| The fee | $2,497, or less early | Partly, within terms |
| Your hours, twelve weeks | ~60 | No |
| Tooling | ~$180/year | Stop any time |
Whatever a discount takes off row one, row two does not move. Sixty hours is the real investment and it is the only one you cannot get back.
So: worth it?
If you will spend the hours, yes — take the cheapest open route and stop thinking about the number. If you are unsure about the hours, the discount is a distraction and a fortnight of free testing settles it better than any price comparison.
What the fee actually buys in time
Structure, so the sixty hours go somewhere rather than into research. That is the honest case for paying anything at all.
