The trade
What this job actually involves
Not the highlight reel. Which niches pay, how the money really arrives, what a working day looks like, and how long it takes before any of it matters.
Niches
Where the money is and what it costs to enter
Bigger than make money online, less crowded, and the one most beginners skip.
Highest commissions in affiliate marketing, hardest place to start. Both are true and they are connected.
Payout per sale and difficulty pull in opposite directions. Here is the trade, with numbers.
The selection criterion nobody uses, and the only one that predicts who is still posting in month four.
The money
How commissions work and what the numbers really are
Cookies, attribution windows, refund clawbacks and the numbers nobody explains before you start.
Every business's profit is four numbers multiplied together. Most people only ever work on one of them.
How many sales it takes to clear what you spent, and why the answer varies by seventeen times.
The case for each, and the honest reason most people start on the wrong one.
How long it actually takes, said plainly, because the alternative is quitting at exactly the wrong moment.
The work
What the daily job actually involves
Not the highlight reel. The actual hours.
Not laziness. A predictable structural problem with an unglamorous fix.
A real number, so you can decide up front instead of guessing in week three.
Getting started
What you need, what to measure, and the first 90 days
Shorter than you think, and most of the shopping list is optional.
Four numbers. Not sales, not yet.
A plan you can hold yourself to, with the quit-point marked on it.
Common questions
What does affiliate marketing actually involve day to day?
Choosing something worth recommending, building pages that answer what people are already searching for, and sending traffic to them. Most days are writing and checking numbers. The guides here walk through a real week rather than a highlight reel.
How long before it makes money?
Months rather than weeks for most people, and it builds rather than arrives. The work you do in the first month keeps earning in the sixth, which is the part that makes it worth starting now rather than later.
Do I need my own product?
No. That is the whole point of it. You are paid a commission for sending someone to a product that already exists, so there is nothing to make, stock or support.
How much does it cost to get started?
A domain and hosting run to a few dollars a month, and you can begin with that. Training is the optional part, and it is what shortens the time between starting and earning. Commission Cycle is $2,497, or six payments of $497 and its cart closes Thursday 24 September 2026, 11:59pm Pacific.
Is it too late to start?
No. The number of people searching for things to buy grows every year, and most of those searches are still answered badly. The barrier has never been the market being full, it has been the number of people who start and then keep going.
Launch status — 15 September 2026
The sessions wrapped on 15 September. Buying stays possible until 24 September 2026, 11:59pm Pacific.
What nobody demonstrated on those calls is the weekly workload, which is the part that decides the outcome.
Why this site does not sell you much
Most pages here recommend nothing. The two that do — the timeline and why people stop — arrive at the same conclusion for the same reason: production friction is what ends most attempts, so anything that removes it is worth real money.
