The shape of it
Week one you post daily and it feels productive. Week two you post most days. Week three you have produced maybe twenty pieces, received near-zero feedback, and there is no evidence any of it will ever work. So you stop, and you tell yourself you will restart when you have thought it through more.
You do not restart.
Why this is structural, not personal
Organic distribution has a delay between input and feedback that is longer than human motivation naturally sustains. That is a design problem in the work, not a defect in you.
The three fixes that actually work
- Reduce production friction to near zero. Every minute between "idea" and "posted" is a chance to not do it. This is the strongest argument for tooling.
- Measure something other than sales. Posts published. Comments received. Conversations opened. Sales are a lagging indicator and watching them in week two is self-harm.
- Decide the number in advance. "Ninety posts, then I judge it." A pre-committed count survives the week-three trough in a way that "see how it goes" never does.
Everyone whose results you envy went through the same three weeks. That is not encouragement, it is the actual distribution. The only differentiator is continuing.
